WintegoSPY

WintegoSPY is a professional Windows-based workplace monitoring application built for businesses and organisations. It runs silently in the background on employee computers and tracks daily work activity — then delivers clear, AI-powered productivity reports to managers every day.

The name "WintegoSPY" reflects its purpose: a watchful, intelligent monitoring tool for the modern workplace. Unlike covert spy tools, WintegoSPY is fully transparent — every monitored employee sees a consent screen before monitoring begins, and a visible tray icon is always shown while the app is running.

WintegoSPY monitors 10 categories of activity on a Windows computer:

1. Run the Installer — Double-click WintegoSPY_Setup.exe → Click Yes on UAC prompt
2. Accept the License — Read EULA and tick "I Agree"
3. Choose Install Location — Default: C:\Program Files\WintegoSPY → Click Install
4. Wait for Installation — Files copied, shortcuts created, startup registration
5. Launch WintegoSPY — Tick "Launch WintegoSPY now" and click Finish
6. Setup Wizard (First Run) — 5-page guided setup: company info, API keys, Telegram, email, preferences
7. Consent Screen — Employee enters name and acknowledges monitoring policy
8. Monitoring Begins — Tray icon (eye symbol) appears → monitoring active

❓ Will employees know they are being monitored?

Yes. WintegoSPY requires every employee to read and accept the monitoring policy and enter their name before monitoring begins. A tray icon is always visible during monitoring. This is by design.

❓ Does WintegoSPY send data to the cloud?

No. All data is stored locally on the monitored computer. The only outgoing connections are Telegram alerts, email reports, and AI analysis requests to the Anthropic API. None of these are required.

❓ How do I get AI-powered reports?

Sign up at console.anthropic.com and create an API key. Enter it in the Setup Wizard on Page 2. Reports cost approximately $0.01 each.

❓ How do I set up Telegram alerts?

Open Telegram, search for @BotFather, create a new bot, copy the token, and also get your Chat ID. Enter both in the Setup Wizard on Page 3.

❓ What happens if a USB drive is connected?

WintegoSPY immediately logs the event with the device name, drive letter, and serial number. If Telegram is configured, an instant alert is sent to the manager.

❓ Can I disable certain monitoring modules?

Yes. In the Setup Wizard (Page 5) or via the Settings option in the tray menu (password protected), you can individually enable or disable screenshots, app tracking, website tracking, file monitoring, and USB monitoring.

❓ What is the admin password for?

The admin password protects two tray menu options: "Generate Report Now" and "Settings". This prevents employees from generating reports or changing configuration without authorisation.

WintegoSPY is a tool for transparent, disclosed workplace monitoring. Using it for covert surveillance without employee knowledge may be illegal in your country. Always:

• Inform employees in writing before deploying WintegoSPY
• Keep a signed copy of the monitoring policy acknowledgement
• Comply with all applicable privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Limit data retention to what is legally necessary
• Restrict access to collected data to authorised personnel only
